I began my journey at the Grand Valley Lanthorn as a Graphic Designer, quickly progressing to Lead Graphic Designer, and eventually stepping into the role of Graphic Design Manager. In my current position, I oversee and manage the design team, guiding the creative direction for a variety of print and digital projects. My primary focus is creating compelling advertisements for both the school newspaper and the website, ensuring that the visuals align with the institution’s branding while effectively conveying the intended messages.
In addition to advertisements, I lead the design of the Student Senate Guide, a key publication that informs students on how to vote for the Student Senate President. This guide also highlights the platforms of the candidates, providing students with the information they need to make informed voting decisions.
At the end of each semester, I design Graduation Advertisements to celebrate the achievements of graduates. These advertisements are an important part of the Lanthorn’s efforts to honor students' accomplishments and create a lasting memory for them and their families.
As Graphic Design Manager, I oversee the team’s creative development, ensure all designs maintain a high standard of quality, and collaborate with other departments to meet deadlines and project requirements. My role is both hands-on and leadership-oriented, allowing me to foster creativity while also maintaining efficiency and consistency across all design materials.
